Most Washington apprenticeship programs only take applications during short windows, and they rarely advertise them widely. This tracker checks the programs’ own websites every week and tells you which ones are open, which are closed, and how each one takes applications.

Last checked: October 13, 2026. We only list what each program posts on its official website, so always confirm dates with the program before applying.

Open right now

🟢 Operating Engineers (IUOE 302 & 612), heavy equipment operator. The 2026 application is open until Friday, November 6, 2026, before 5 p.m. See the program’s announcement.

What the statuses mean

  • 🟢 Open now: the program says it is accepting applications, usually with a deadline.
  • 🔵 Ongoing: applications, interviews or drawings happen on a regular, repeating schedule.
  • 🟡 Seasonal: the program selects apprentices during a set part of the year.
  • ⚪ Contact to apply: the program doesn’t post a window; you apply or ask by phone, email or in person.
  • 🔴 Closed: the program says it isn’t accepting applications right now.
  • 🟣 Employer-sponsored: you need a job with a participating employer first.
